The Writers’ Trust organization has been good to me over the years — that 2010 Fiction prize nomination for Practical Jean topping the list of goodies. So when they invite me to their annual shindig, I’m always happy to go. And when I get to sit with a bunch of folks as fun as these, well, who said life as a writer was quiet and dull! Thanks to Writers’ Trust board member Janet Eger for bringing together an all-star group of tablemates and including me in the revelry. And thanks to Toronto Star reporter Robert Cribb for snapping this shot. Note the incredible timing — taken just as a certain face came up on the long loop of author photos running in the background.
